program sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The program can be started in the hospital and continued with the volunteer visiting
at your home, office etc. The visiting volunteer is also a recovered cancer patient trained by the American Cancer Society and always

Bosom Buddies: This support group is composed of a caring group of women who have had breast cancer who share common concerns, questions, and fears.

Stretch: This exercise program is designed to meet the needs of women with cancer. Routines are specifically designed for the special
needs of women following surgery. As each eight week class program progresses, the focus expands to enhance total body image. There are 3 different classes held in the Jefferson-Shelby county area.

Feel Better: This program is specifically designed for patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment. The program handles all the questions that may concern you most—dealing with hair loss, caring for your skin, a 12 step guide for makeup, nailcare, etc.

Support Program: This program explains the different types of treatment for breast cancer. The program also helps the patient to cope successfully with the emotional trauma of their illness. The program offers hotline counseling and educational programs including self-help meetings for the patient, their families, and friends.
