Biozorb Placement:
Biozorb is an implantable device, placed by surgeons, that marks the surgical site of tissue removal in 3D. The bioabsorbable framework allows tissue in-growth, clips provide unique 3D marking of the surgical site and the framework is resorbed in a year or more. This identification of the site of the cancer is useful in planning radiation treatments as well as monitoring the area of surgery over time.
Combining the framework from the implantation of the Biozorb with oncoplastic and Hidden Scar techniques adds one additional method by which we can affect a more pleasing cosmetic result during surgery.
